The saints and sages who came to Prayagraj Mahakumbh have their own different stories. All Babas have their own unique identity and many Sannyasis have their own speciality. There is a similar story of ‘Rabri Baba’ also. In Mahakumbh, Rabri Baba has become the center of attraction for the devotees and is also popular on social media.
Shri Mahant Devgiri Ji Maharaj who came to Mahakumbh is also known as ‘Rabri wale Baba’. Baba told Aajtak that he has been continuously distributing Rabri Prasad in Mahakumbh. That’s why he was named Rabriwale Baba.
Devagiri Ji Maharaj told that every day he makes rabri of about 130 liters of milk and distributes prasad in devotion. He said that he is a worshiper of Goddess Mahakali and by the grace of Goddess, he has been inspired to do this service.
Devagiri Ji Maharaj told that he makes Rabdi by adding milk and medium sugar. Actually, the devotees do not have diabetes, hence they keep the amount of sugar low. He said that his principle is that he serves rabri while sitting and does not distribute it.
Devagiri Ji Maharaj has come from Gujarat and it is written on his board – “Rabri created a stir, Shri Mahant Rabri wale.”
