UP Board 12th Practical Exams postponed: A big update has come out for the students preparing for UP Board 10th-12th examination. Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council (UPMSP) has postponed the intermediate (class 12) practical examination. UP Board 12th class practical exams are being held in two phases. The first phase was to be held from January 23 to January 31, 2025, which has now been postponed.
Why were UP Board 12th practical exams postponed?
Actually, the Joint Entrance Test (IIT-JEE) main examination for admission to IIT engineering courses is starting from January 22. 12th class students also appear in this entrance examination. According to media reports, the board has postponed the practicals of Inter due to JEE Mains exam. Condition
New date of practical exam
Now this examination will be conducted in two phases from 1 February to 16 February 2025. The first phase will run from February 1 to February 8 in which practical exams will be held in Aligarh, Meerut, Moradabad, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Varanasi and Gorakhpur divisions. The second phase will run from February 9 to February 16. In this, the examination will be conducted in Agra, Saharanpur, Bareilly, Lucknow, Jhansi, Chitrakoot, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Devipatan and Basti divisions.
Earlier this examination was to be held between 23rd to 31st January and 1st to 8th February. Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh said that the students informed the board that the JEE Main exam is from January 22 to 31, due to which this decision was taken.
New system for transparency
UP Board has made many new rules to bring transparency in practical examinations-
- Through evaluation app: Examiners will now upload the marks of the students in the special mobile app of the board at the examination center itself. This app will work only within a radius of 200 meters of the examination centre.
- Selfie Upload: Examiners will have to take a selfie with the students and upload it on the app.
- CCTV Surveillance: To maintain the sanctity of the examination, the examination will be conducted under the surveillance of CCTV cameras and the recording will be kept safe.
- Responsibility of the Principal: The responsibility of monitoring and recording the examination has been entrusted to the Principal.
- Appointment of Examiners: Examiners for practical examinations will be appointed by the regional offices.
- This new system will ensure transparency and fairness in the examination process. Students have been advised to follow the rules given at the examination center and concentrate on their preparation.
