UP: There was not enough food in the wedding, the wedding party returned without Nikaah then lclcn
A strange case has come to light in Chandauli, Uttar Pradesh. Here during the Nikah, the matter got so bad that when the wedding guests ran out of food, they returned without performing the Nikah. After this, people from the girl’s side complained to the police. After police intervention, an agreement was reached in the presence of police and dignitaries from both sides. Meanwhile, the boy’s family got the boy married at another place.
In fact, the marriage of the daughter of Mohammad Hanif, resident of Hamidpur village of Mughalsarai police station area of Chandauli district, was fixed on 22 December with a young man named Mehtab, resident of the same village. In the afternoon of 22 December, the wedding guests also reached the girl’s house. The girl’s family also welcomed the wedding guests as per their capacity. The girl’s family members were feeding food to the wedding guests. Meanwhile, people from the boy’s side alleged that there was not enough food for the wedding procession.

Got the boy married to his relative’s daughter
An altercation started between both the parties regarding this matter. People even tried to intervene, but the groom remained adamant on his insistence. The allegation is that the wedding procession returned without the marriage ceremony using this excuse. Not only this, after some time Mehtab’s family got him married to their relative’s daughter. On the other hand, as soon as the girl’s family came to know about this, they lodged a complaint with the police.
Allegation of giving Rs 1 lakh 60 thousand in dowry
The girl’s family members told that around 200 people had come to the wedding procession and they welcomed them as per their capacity. But the boy’s family created a ruckus on the pretext of less food and went back without marrying him. Not only this, he got the boy married to another girl. The girl’s family members allege that they had also given one lakh sixty thousand rupees in dowry.
Mutual agreement reached between both parties
The girl’s family also appealed to the Chandauli SP regarding this matter. Taking this entire matter seriously, Chandauli SP Aditya Langhe ordered an investigation into the entire matter. After this, the police called both the parties at Mughalsarai police station and talked. During the talks on December 25, in the presence of police and dignitaries from both sides, a mutual agreement was reached between the two sides. Under this, the people from the boy’s side returned the dowry of Rs 1 lakh sixty taken from the girl’s side. After this, the girl’s side withdrew their complaint from the police and also wrote a written agreement that now they do not want any kind of action.
Deputy SP said this in the matter
Chandauli Deputy SP Rajesh Rai said that the marriage of both the Muslim families living in Hamidpur village of Mughalsarai Kotwali was fixed on December 22. During the marriage, due to some reasons, the boy’s side refused to marry and the marriage procession went back. In this regard, the victim’s side submitted an application to the Superintendent of Police requesting action. On this, Mughalsarai Kotwali police took immediate action and made an agreement between the two parties in the presence of dignitaries. Both the parties returned the money spent on the marriage and a written agreement was made that now we do not want any action in this. Therefore, now there does not seem to be any need for any further police action in this matter.
