In a tragic road accident in Rae Bareli district of Uttar Pradesh, 3 people died while 8 people were seriously injured. The accident took place in Sultanpur village on Saturday evening where an SUV collided with a tractor-trolley parked on the road.
According to the police, the accident occurred when the speeding SUV suddenly collided with a parked tractor-trolley. As soon as information about the incident was received, SHO Omprakash Tiwari of Bachhrawan police station area reached the spot with the police team.
He said that the injured were immediately taken to the nearby Community Health Center, where after initial treatment, the seriously injured people were referred to the District Hospital and then to the Trauma Center of Lucknow.
According to the news agency report, the deceased have been identified as Dhunnilal (40), Nirmala (40) and Ramesh (48), all of whom were residents of Rae Bareli district. All the deceased and injured were traveling in the SUV at the time of the accident.
Police said that the main reason for the accident could be high speed and delay in seeing the tractor-trolley parked on the road. The investigation of the accident is still going on. The police have appealed to the local people to carefully look at the vehicles parked on the road and follow the traffic rules completely.
