In Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh, three youths have been arrested for making vulgar remarks on women policemen. The incident took place on Tuesday in the pearl market of Baldev town. Local police station in -charge Triloki Singh said that when two women policemen were passing through the market, three youths riding on the bike of the number plate started tightening them.
The accused harassed the women by continuously playing horn and by making obscene comments. When the women policemen protested, the three tried to run away by pushing them. However, with the help of the people present on the spot, he was run and caught.
The arrested accused have been identified as Rajesh, Brajveer and Akash, residents of Midhwali village in Hathras district. The police has started legal action against him.
This incident raises questions on women safety and honor of women in society. The police and administrative mechanisms are also not safe from the people.
