In Tehri district of Uttarakhand, a vicious cyber criminal cheated a person of Rs 7 lakh. When the victim realized that he had been cheated, he registered a case with the police. After this the police has arrested a cyber fraudster.

Tehri Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ayush Aggarwal told PTI about the incident on Monday that the accused fraudster has been identified as Naveen Gangwani. Who was arrested on 29 December from Gandhi Nagar area of ​​Sriganganagar, Rajasthan.

SSP Ayush Aggarwal said that accused Naveen has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days. He said that a case of forgery was registered against the accused at Narendra Nagar police station on December 18.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police Ayush Aggarwal, accused Naveen Gangwani has revealed during interrogation that many of his associates were involved in this crime and the money was converted into Bitcoin by transferring it to different bank accounts.

The SSP further said that cyber criminals have started converting the looted money into Bitcoin, which has complicated the recovery process. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
