An interesting thing has come to light in the case of bank robbery in Lucknow. The thieves did not touch the gold loan lockers, but broke into 42 normal lockers and stole jewelery worth crores and lakhs of rupees. It seems that the thieves knew about the map and locker room inside the bank. Even the police feel that a bank employee may have a hand in this robbery.
It is noteworthy that both the bank and the customer have the details of the goods kept in gold loan lockers, but the bank does not have the details of the goods kept in normal lockers. That’s why thieves targeted normal lockers.
Police said that the bank’s alarm was in sleeping mode for the last 15 days, due to which the alarm did not ring during the robbery. Lucknow’s Joint Police Commissioner Law and Order Amit Verma said that this is a major point and it will be investigated. This case is being thoroughly investigated from every aspect.
At the same time, former manager of the bank Ashok Kumar said that only senior employees or those who come and go in the locker room have information about the lockers. He said that some employee inside the bank might have helped the miscreants.
On the other hand, in this case, ACP Vibhutikhand Radha Raman said that there were a total of 90 lockers in the bank, out of which 70 were operational. The thieves hacked 42 lockers, 40 of which were operational. The bank keeps details of the goods kept in gold loan lockers and also gets them videographed. At present, most of the criminals involved in the robbery have been caught. Two have been killed in the encounter. Looted goods have been recovered from the miscreants.
