After the formation of Mahayuti government in Maharashtra, the phase of resentment continues. The pain of many leaders is visible. But senior NCP (Ajit faction) leader Chhagan Bhujbal has now openly expressed his displeasure. On Tuesday he said, ‘Where there is no chaina, do not stay there.’ Many meanings are being inferred from his statement. At the same time, on Tuesday, Chhagan’s supporters also demonstrated against Ajit Pawar in Pune. He said that this is an insult to the Other Backward Classes (OBC). The protest also took place outside the bungalow of Deputy Chief Minister and NCP chief Ajit Pawar in Baramati.
Know why Chhagan Bhujbal is angry
Chhagan Bhujbal claimed that Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis wanted to include him in the cabinet, but the decision was taken by Ajit Pawar. 77 year old MLA Bhujbal was earlier a minister in the Mahayuti government. But this time he has not been given a place.
Said- I am hurt
Bhujbal said that Ajit Pawar takes decisions in NCP, like Devendra Fadnavis in BJP and Eknath Shinde in Shiv Sena. Clarifying on his statement given a day earlier ‘Where there is no peace, there is no living’, Bhujbal said that he will say something on Wednesday after discussing with NCP workers and the people of his Yeola seat. Bhujbal said, ‘I am not sad about not being made a minister, but I am hurt by the behavior meted out to me.’
‘I am not a toy’
Speaking to the media in Nashik, Bhujbal said that he was asked to contest the Lok Sabha elections in May, but the name was not finalised. Then he was offered a Rajya Sabha seat, which he rejected. He said, ‘I accepted the suggestion to contest Lok Sabha elections from Nashik. When I wanted to go to Rajya Sabha, I was asked to contest assembly elections. Now I am being offered a Rajya Sabha seat. Am I a toy? Should I stand up when you say and sit down when you say? What will the people of my constituency think if I resign?’

Bhujbal said, ‘I was prepared for the Lok Sabha elections at the behest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. I prepared for a month, but my name was removed at the last moment. Then I was told that I should stay in Maharashtra. He further said, ‘What happened to me is humiliating. This is not a question of ministerial post, but a question of the treatment meted out to me. On the question of future, he said that he will take a decision after talking to the workers.
Let us tell you that on Sunday, Fadnavis expanded his cabinet in Nagpur, in which 39 new members joined. Of these, 19 were from BJP, 11 from Shinde faction and 9 from Ajit Pawar faction. Bhujbal was among the 10 ministers who were dropped from the new list.
