Dr. Virendra Kumar Khatik became MP for the first time from Sagar Lok Sabha seat in 1996. After this, after Tikamgarh Lok Sabha seat came into reserved existence in the year 2009, he contested elections from Tikamgarh and won. After this, he has reached Lok Sabha from the same seat in 2014, 2019 and 2024.
Became minister in 2017
