After the results were declared on November 23, speculation about the next Chief Minister had intensified. Along with Shiv Sena and NCP, claims about the CM also started being made by BJP. Shiv Sena and NCP also did pressure politics by electing the leader of their legislature party. But first NCP and now Shiv Sena are on the backfoot.

Actually, Mahayuti has got 230 seats out of 288 assembly seats. In this, BJP alone has won 132 seats, which is 13 seats less than the majority. If sources are to be believed, when BJP alone crossed 110 seats, Shiv Sena and NCP started realizing that their hold on the post of Chief Minister had weakened.

Why did NCP support BJP?
