Why was Pithampur chosen to burn Union Carbide’s toxic waste? see

40 years after the Bhopal gas tragedy, the process of removing the toxic waste stored in this factory for years has started. This toxic waste will be destroyed in Pithampur, 250 kilometers away from Bhopal. But there is continuous protest against burning of Union Carbide waste in Pithampur, which turned into anger on Friday. How and why is the poisonous waste which even US and Germany were scared of, being removed after 40 years? And why has Pithampur been chosen for this?
