Delhi’s great victory
Delhi was very aggressive and Shefali Verma (16 off 16 balls) added 65 runs in just 41 balls for the first wicket with captain Lanning. Shefali was caught by Deepti Sharma in the 7th over by Chiinale Henry. Jemima Roudrigs also could not last long and without opening an account in the next over, Rajeshwari was caught by Rajeshwari Gaikwad in an attempt to put a paddle sweep.
Sutherland played strong innings
After this, Sutherland and Kapp took an unbeaten partnership of 48 runs and brought the team to victory. 32 runs were required in the last three overs when Cap hit two consecutive fours to Exilestone. The last over requires 11 runs and Sutherland scored two fours with Tahlia McGrag. Earlier, Navgire scored 51 off 27 balls for the UP team sent for batting while Dinesh Vrinda scored 16 runs in 15 balls. Both gave UP a brilliant start by sharing 66 runs in 5.5 overs.
UP lost the last five wickets within 52 runs. Shweta Sehrawat (37 off 33 balls) and Grace Harris (12) added 36 runs for the fifth wicket. Harris gave a catch directly to Shefali Verma at mid -off off the ball of fast bowler Arundhati Reddy. Finally Chiinale Henry scored an unbeaten 33 off 15 balls. For Delhi, Anabel Sutherland took two wickets for 26 runs in four overs.
