Yunus offered business offer to China near ‘Chicken Neck’, tells Bangladesh the only patron of the region – Muhammad Yunus Says Indies Seven States are Landlocked Invites China to make extensions ntcprk

A video of Muhammad Yunus, the chief advisor of the interim government of Bangladesh, who returned from the tour of China, is going viral in which he is seen inviting China to expand the region. Amidst stressful relations with India, Yunus is seen commenting on the northeastern states of India, which is being raised a lot of objection. Mohammad Yunus said that seven Northeast states of India are still surrounded by land locks.

In a viral video on social media, Younis is asking the Chinese government to set up an economic base in Bangladesh close to chicken neck.

Chicken Nek Naka Eastern SISTERS- Nagaland, Manipur, Meghalaya, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Manipur are also known as Siliguri Corridor.

This corridor is strategically very important for India and there are concerns about China’s growing influence in this region. Chicken Neck passes through the border of Bangladesh and if Younus allows China to trade in this area, it can become a headache for India.

In the video, Younus is insisting that Bangladesh is the only patron of the Ocean (Indian Ocean) in the region.

In the video, Younus is seen saying, ‘Seven states of India, the eastern part of India, which are called seven sisters (Seven Sisters) … They are the states surrounded by land, they have no way to reach the sea. We are the only protector of the ocean for this entire region. So it opens a big possibility.

Yunus further said, ‘Due to this the Chinese economy can expand here. They come here and make things, produce them, sell them, take them to China and spread them all over the world.

Objection to Yunus’s comment

After this video of Younus surfaced, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Economic Advisory Council member Sanjeev Sanyal shared the video on X, ‘It is interesting that Yunus is making public appeals to the Chinese on the basis that 7 states of India are surrounded by land. China is welcome to invest in Bangladesh, but what does it mean to be surrounded by 7 Indian states?

Mohammad Yunus went to China on a four -day visit. In this tour, he also sought a 50 -year master plan from China for water management of rivers. It also includes the water management of the Teesta River, which also has a share of water. There have been disputes in India and Bangladesh over the water of Teesta river. Yunus, while talking about the master plan for water management of rivers, called China a “master of water management”. Yunus further said, ‘We have come here to learn from you.’

China has agreed to heavy investment in Bangladesh

In Yunus’s visit to China, both countries have agreed to increase maritime cooperation and talk about it if needed. A statement said that Bangladesh Mongla welcomes Chinese companies to modernization and expansion projects of Port facilities and is ready to cooperate with China to further develop the Chinese Economic and Industrial Area (CEIZ) in Chittagong.

According to the Bangladesh government news agency Bangladesh Sangabad Sanstha, China has planned to give about $ 400 million for modernization of Bangladesh’s southwest Mongla port, $ 35 million for the development of China industrial economic sector and $ 150 million as technical assistance.
