Speaking in the Assembly, CM Yogi said that India is a country where the majority society is only demanding equal civil law. Making such a demand is not a bad thing. The opposition is demanding a stay on the Supreme Court order. After all, the judge of Allahabad High Court talked about equal civil law, on this the opposition gave notice of impeachment against him.

Judge Shekhar Kumar Yadav had given this statement

In fact, on December 8, in a program of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) in Prayagraj, Justice Yadav had supported the Uniform Civil Code. In the viral video, he supported the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and said that laws should be in line with the preferences of the majority.

He said- ‘There is no hesitation in saying that this is India. The country will be run according to the majority living in India. This is the law. Look in the family as well, look in the society also. “Where there are more people, whatever is said is accepted.” He also said that ‘fanatics’ are dangerous for the country.

After this statement of Judge Shekhar Yadav, members of various opposition parties gave notice in Rajya Sabha on Friday for impeachment against him. These include leaders of Congress, John Brittas of Communist Party of India (Marxist), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Trinamool Congress.
