Before January 14, the discussion about Dahi-Chuda feast was going on well in Bihar, but even Chirag Paswan would not have thought that Nitish Kumar would add such a political flavor to it.
Whatever may have been the motive behind inviting Nitish Kumar to the Dahi Chuda banquet in Patna, but what is happening now in the name of Chirag Paswan can only be called an embarrassment.
Nitish Kumar is an expert in such things, Chirag Paswan must be understanding again. Some people in Bihar are also seeing Nitish Kumar’s act as revenge from Chirag Paswan for 2020 – but the question is whether the revenge is still yet to be completed?
Whatever Chirag Paswan has faced between the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections and the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, was it less in any sense?
The question should also be raised whether there was any preparation to ‘play’ with Nitish Kumar, which the Chief Minister of Bihar sensed in advance – and created panic in anticipation of a possible showdown.
Whose coin was used in Patna’s Dahi-Chuda feast?
On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, many leaders in Bihar had hosted a banquet. This time also there was a traditional feast at Lalu Yadav’s place. At the other end, Chirag Paswan had organized a Dahi Chuda feast.
Chirag Paswan’s uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras had organized a separate party. He also went to Lalu Yadav’s place, and in return Lalu Yadav also attended Pashupati Kumar Paras’s banquet – but Chirag Paswan’s Dahi Chuda banquet is being discussed more.
Union Minister Chirag Paswan had invited Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for a Dahi-Chuda banquet. According to the report, the time of the banquet was fixed at 11 o’clock, and it was assumed that people would gather by 12 o’clock.
Keeping aside the scheduled time, Nitish Kumar reached the scheduled place at 10 o’clock. Those present mingled with him and returned within 10 minutes – and the surprising thing was that host Chirag Paswan was missing from the spot.
Chirag Paswan’s absence could be a coincidence, and the way politics is going on in Bihar, it can also be considered an experiment.
Chirag Paswan has given clarification that he was sitting for puja, hence it was not possible for him to get up. However, people are also giving their opinions by sharing his old videos on social media.
For some days, doubts are being raised about Nitish Kumar being the leader of NDA in Bihar. And, this debate has started after Union Minister Amit Shah’s statement indicating Maharashtra model in Bihar also. However, efforts have been made by Bihar BJP to clear the picture. Recently, Chirag Paswan’s party MP Shambhavi Chaudhary had also given a statement in support of Nitish Kumar, but the questions are not ending.
A few days ago, Nitish Kumar’s habit of forgetting was also being discussed. And, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav had cornered Nitish Kumar in various ways – so did Nitish Kumar arrive earlier because he forgot the time of the banquet?
Only they know this, but the impact of this step of Nitish Kumar shows that all this has not happened just like that. This is also one of the political moves of Nitish Kumar.
Because only Nitish Kumar is in the limelight, and Chirag Paswan is being embarrassed.
Did Lalu Yadav’s Dahi Chuda feast remain dull?
Lalu Yadav is the one who started the political tradition of Dahi-Chuda feast in Bihar. It is said that on the lines of Lalu Yadav, Chirag Paswan’s father Ram Vilas Paswan had started Dahi Chuda Party in Delhi. Lalu Yadav has been partying, Chirag Paswan has also continued the tradition started by his father. Since Chirag Paswan has been spending more time in Bihar since the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, and this time being an election year, it was also possible. Although, after becoming a Union Minister like his father, Chirag Paswan could have organized a party in Delhi also, but Patna is a different matter.
Even before Makar Sankranti, ‘fodder’ was being thrown from Lalu Yadav towards Nitish Kumar. Tejashwi Yadav also adopts a soft stance, but Misa Bharti and Tej Pratap Yadav are also reiterating that the door is open, citing the brotherly relationship between Nitish Kumar and Lalu Yadav. It was Lalu Yadav who started the talk about the door being open for Nitish Kumar.
For a few days, there were speculations about Nitish Kumar changing sides again. Because, after Amit Shah’s statement, Nitish Kumar had maintained silence.
One day when he saw that the water had started flowing till the top, he said it clearly. What did he say, he repeated what he had said between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP leaders – ‘Now he is not going anywhere… a mistake was made… now he will stay here, will not go anywhere.’
At least till the assembly elections are held in Bihar and his next move is revealed, the validity of Nitish Kumar’s statement will remain intact.
