The incident of stone pelting during a procession taken out on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti in Guna district of Madhya Pradesh made the atmosphere tense. The procession being taken out by BJP councilor Omprakash Kushwaha alias Gabbar Kushwaha and his supporters took place near the mosque in the Colonelganj area when there was a loud music on the DJ in the procession.
According to eyewitnesses, angry people protested against the DJ playing the procession in front of the mosque, after which the dispute increased. Soon after the dispute, stones started from the mosque, in response to which the people involved in the procession also pelted stones. On seeing this, the situation became uncontrollable and stampede in the area.
Many people were injured in this incident, including 11 -year -old son Akul Kushwaha, 11 -year -old son of BJP councilor Gabbar Kushwaha. The injured were immediately admitted to the nearest hospital.
As soon as the information was received, SP Sanjeev Kumar Sinha and Collector Kishore Kumar Kanyal reached the spot with a heavy police force. The police took quick action and controlled the situation.
SP Sinha said, “Police force was deployed as soon as the dispute was reported in Colonelganj. The situation is currently under control and the case is being investigated. ”
Hindu organizations’ Chakkajam, Kotwali siege
Angered by the incident, Hindu organizations and local people tricked the Colonelganj intersection and shouted slogans by besieging the city police station. The protesters demanded strict action against stones.
FIR lodged, investigation started
BJP councilor Gabbar Kushwaha has lodged an FIR in City Kotwali. In the complaint, he has accused Yusuf Khan, chairman of the Tajia Committee and others of inciting stone pelting and violence. The police have registered a case and started investigation.
