This time many unique vehicles have been presented in the Bharat Mobility Global Expo (BMGE 2025) going on in the country’s capital Delhi. This year’s motor show saw a spectacular display of electric vehicles. During this time, the unique hubless electric bicycle ‘Helex’ of a start-up named Helen Bikes has made a lot of headlines. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also arrived to see this cycle.
More than 90 vehicles (cars, bikes and commercial vehicles) were launched in the first two days of Bharat Mobility Global Expo. This motor show was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During this, PM Modi visited the stalls of different vehicle manufacturers and took a closer look at the vehicles offered by them. Meanwhile, PM Modi also reached the stall of Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh based start-up Helen Bikes. Where he saw this hubless bicycle concept ‘Helex’.

How is this hubless bicycle:
The start-up claims that this is the world’s first fully-electric hubless bicycle. Which neither has rim-spokes nor does it require pedals to operate. When you look at the wheels of this bicycle, you will find that they are completely empty. This is a hubless bicycle, so the electric motor is installed in the wheel and frame of the bicycle itself.
Apart from this, the battery has also been given space in the frame of the bicycle. Although this is still a prototype model, it will obviously take some time to reach the production ready model. Features like regenerative braking system, hybrid pedal motor, navigation assistance, three-stage anti theft alarm, dual suspension, fingerprint scanner are being provided in this electric bicycle.
When will it be launched and what will be the price:
Right now this electric bicycle has been introduced as a prototype and is in its initial stage. No information has been received about its launch timeline yet. But if this bicycle is launched for sale then it will prove to be a better vehicle as a daily commuter.
