Hrithik Roshan made an impactful debut with Say I love you that went on to become one of the record-breaking successes of Indian Cinema with its songs being celebrated as chartbusters even today. However, the film faced multiple challenges including the leading lady being replaced from Kareena Kapoor Khan to Ameesha Patel. As the film completed 25 years this year, Patel revealed that it wasn’t an easy journey, recalling the time when the shoot was delayed for six months.

Insisting how it wasn’t all a bed of roses for them while shooting Say I love youAmeesha Patel revealed how Hrithik Roshan sustained injuries on his back and was asked to remain out of action for almost half a year. “While filming the climax scene, Hrithik did a jump and when he fell, we heard his back crack. We had to rush him to the hospital at 4 am and the shoot got postponed. We had to rebuild that set six months later, and the film got delayed by six months because of that one injury,” she was quoted telling Hindustan Times.

Further, sharing about her own injuries which she suffered while shooting a particular climax sequence, Patel added, “When we came back on set to reshoot the remaining portions of the climax, I got a bullet. I had the presence of mind and turned my face, otherwise that bullet would have been blinded and I had a charred hole there. quite a journey”.
