IIMA Dubai Campus: The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) will now create its campus in Dubai. IIMA has signed a memorandum with the United Arab Emirates Government (UAE) for the campus in Dubai on 8 April. This agreement is considered to be a milestone in the International Journey of IIMA.
A memorandum was exchanged between IIMA Director Professor Bharat Bhaskar and Dubai Director General of Economy and Tourism Department, Hall Saeed Hardari. Dubai’s Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktum and India’s Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal were signed.
The campus in Dubai will be built in two phases. In the first phase, IIMA will work with the UAE government building inside Dubai International Academic City (Diac). In the second phase, a permanent campus will be built, it is expected to be completed by 2029.
How will admission in IIMA Dubai Campus?
The one -year fulltime MBA for working professionals and entrepreneurs will be introduced as the first initiative at Dubai Campus. The MBA program in IIMA Dubai Campus will start in September 2025 and will continue for five sessions. Within five years of applying for admission in this program, Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Graduate Record Examination (GRE) will be based on the score. The application process will be released soon.
Professor Bhaskar of IIM Ahmedabad said, “Dubai has given a golden opportunity to interact with global industry leaders and innovation startups. This new campus will not only expand our footprint in the middle East but will also increase our academic excellence in India.” This will be the first international campus of IIMA.
