IPL 2025: Somebody’s anger on commentators sitting in studios

New Delhi: Lucknow Super Giants fast bowler Shardul Thakur has targeted the commentators criticizing the bowlers in the IPL. After a great performance against Gujarat Titans, Shardul spoke at the post-match press conference. He said that cricket is changing now and 200+ scores have become common. Thakur also said that commentator sit in the studio and criticizes, but he does not know the real picture of the ground.

What did Shardul Thakur say?

Shardul Thakur, who is associated with Lucknow Super Giants as a replacement after being unsold in the IPL auction, said, ‘I have always believed that as a bowling unit, we have bowled well throughout the season. Commentary is criticized many times, they try to be strict on the bowlers. But you have to understand that cricket is moving in a certain direction where 200+ scores are becoming more common.

Anger on commentators

Shardul Thakur is currently second in the Purple Cap race with 11 wickets in six matches. However, 33 -year -old Thakur feels that the bowlers are not getting proper respect. The commentator criticizes the bowlers without thinking. He said, ‘It is easy to comment on someone’s bowling sitting in the studio, but they do not see the real picture on the field. I am sure they should look at their figures before criticizing someone. ‘

Winning without foreign bowler

Lucknow Super Giants are now third in the table with four wins in six matches. Even without a foreign bowler, the team has effectively defended the score.
