Once again a major accident was averted on the Jaipur-Ajmer highway. In fact, a fire broke out in the silencer of a truck filled with CNG gas going from Bindayaka towards Jaipur. The truck was parked at the CNG pump, where the fire made the situation more serious.
According to eyewitnesses, after seeing smoke rising from the silencer of the truck, the local people immediately informed the pump personnel and the police. The employees present at the pump immediately controlled the fire using fire extinguishing equipment. If the fire had reached the CNG tank, a major accident could have occurred.
Pump workers said that the truck was completely filled with CNG gas at the time of the fire. If the gas tank had caught fire, there could have been major devastation in the surrounding area. The police reached the spot, took stock of the situation and sent the truck to a safe place.
