In a recent podcast, Yograj claimed that Hindi is a “woman’s language” and lacks the strength and assertiveness he associates with Punjabi. This statement sparked outrage, with Muntashir taking to X (formerly Twitter) to call out the remarks as offensive and ignorant.

Yograj Singh’s Controversial Statements
During the podcast, Yograj Singh stated that while women speaking Hindi is acceptable, men should prioritize speaking Punjabi due to its perceived stronger aura. He remarked, “To me, Hindi sounds like a woman is speaking… When a woman speaks, it sounds very good, when a man speaks Hindi, it sounds like who is a man speaking.” His comments extended beyond language, claiming that women should not be made heads of households as they would “destroy it.” He controversially cited former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, stating she “destroyed the country.”
Manoj Muntashir’s Sharp Response
Manoj Muntashir did not mince words in responding to Yograj Singh’s remarks. On X, he criticized Yograj, stating, “Yuvraj Singh made the nation proud, while his father, Yograj Singh, seems determined to create a name in disgrace… This fool insults Hindi, the world’s third-largest language, and the brave women of this country.”
Muntashir further emphasized that both the Hindi language and womanhood symbolize resilience and strength. He added, “Both womanhood and Hindi have taught us endurance… I wish to say a prayer for this troubled soul in Punjabi: Get well soon.”
Yuvraj Singh made the country proud, his father Yograj Singh has set out to make a name for himself in lowliness.
