Three Nepali devotees were killed and five others were injured in a horrific road accident on the Azamgarh-Varanasi highway in Uttar Pradesh on Monday morning. The accident took place near Majgaon village of Rani’s Sarai police station area. According to the police, the car of the devotees collided with the divider, causing this accident.
According to the report of the news agency, the police said that all the devotees were residents of Devdah municipality in Rupadehi district of Nepal. These were a total of 35 people, who came in five cars and came to bathe in Prayagraj Mahakumbh on February 15, this accident happened while returning.
Superintendent of Police (SP) of Azamgarh city, Shailendra Lal said that 35 years Dipa, her husband 45 -year -old Ganesh and 40 -year -old Ganga died in the accident. The injured include car driver 21 -year -old Hrithik Dubey, 35 years Kopila Devkala Devi, 25 years Avishankar and 22 years Shubham Pokharel.
Preliminary inquiry has revealed that the accident occurred due to the car driver, two cars collided with the divider after hitting each other. The injured have been referred to the hospital in Gorakhpur for immediate treatment. The police have registered a case and started further investigation.
