Pratik Gandhi on Agni, “It’s more exciting for me as it’s my first ever action film” : Bollywood News
Pratik Gandhi is known as one of the most versatile actors currently. The Scam 1992 star is currently seen in Rahul Dholakia’s movie firewhich is streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The actor spoke about the movie and looked back at the year in an interview with us.

The year is almost over. How do you look back on the year?
Well, this year has been really fulfilling with (the) kind of work I got to do and two good releases like Madgaon Express and Do and do loveI received a lot of love and appreciation from the audience and the critics as well. The most important thing for me as an actor is that I could crest these diverse characters and entertain the audience.
You are playing Gandhiji in the upcoming web series Gandhi. How Gandhian do you feel?
Hahahaha, apart from my surname, the Gandhian feel comes from my upbringing in a family which strongly believes in this philosophy. Also, I have been performing Mohandas Gandhi on stage from the last nine years and have almost seen and felt him closely. But after doing the first season of Hansal Mehta’s series Gandhi, it has really enriched me in so many ways.
Tell us about your new film fire
We shot for fire around fifteen months ago. It’s a unique film that shows the world of fire fighters, something we have never seen before in Indian films. And even more exciting for me as my first ever action film. We had fun making it. The director Rahul Dholakia has an organic and realistic storyline style. Also working with Divyenndu and Excel (Entertainment) once again in this film was a treat for me. We have become thick friends. Divyenndu is too much fun to be with and an excellent actor.
Do and do love is my favorite film of the year. Were you disappointed by its underperformance at the box office?
First of all, I am really proud of this film, and satisfied the way it turned out. Whoever watched it has loved it and enjoyed it. The low footfall was disappointing for sure. But then, it’s beyond our control as actors. So, I don’t think much about it.
How does the coming year look to you?
The coming year is full of challenges with varied roles that I have picked up my way and I am ready and charged up again to surprise the audience with a lot more characters. Hope they accept it the way they have always done. With the kind of love I have from the industry till date, I am delighted and happy to know each day that the writers and directors have me in their mind when they conceive any subject.
