Complainant Monjeet Chetia alleged that Rahul Gandhi’s statement crossed the limits of freedom of expression and posed a serious threat to public order and national security. According to the FIR, Chetia said in his complaint, ‘By declaring that their fight is against the ‘Indian State’, they have deliberately incited subversive activities and rebellion among the public.’

He said, ‘This is an attempt to delegitimize the authority of the state, which can create a dangerous narrative, which can incite unrest and separatist sentiments.’ Chetia said Rahul Gandhi’s comments were inspired by frustration arising from repeated election failures. As leader of the opposition, his responsibility is to maintain public confidence in democratic institutions, but instead, he chose to misuse his platform to spread lies and incite insurrection.

While addressing party workers after the inauguration of the new Congress headquarters, Rahul Gandhi fiercely attacked BJP and RSS and accused them of capturing all the institutions of the country.

The Congress leader said, ‘Don’t think that we are fighting a fair battle. There is no fairness in this. If you believe that we are fighting a political organization called BJP or RSS then you will not understand what is happening. BJP and RSS have captured every institution of our country. Now we are fighting against BJP, RSS and the Indian state itself.

After this, he also targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that he wants to crush the voice of the country by silencing the Dalits, minorities, backward castes and tribals.
