According to the police, Sanjay Singh threw acid last week on Mithun Bind, a resident of Rampur Mahawal village in Ballia city. It is being told that this attack was carried out between the two due to an old personal rivalry. Ballia Superintendent of Police Omvir Singh informed that a case was registered against the accused under Section 124 (1) of the Indian Penal Code (BNS) on the complaint of the victim. Taking quick action, the police arrested Sanjay Singh and sent them to jail on Friday.

AIMIM state general secretary Shamim Ahmed Khan reacted strongly to the incident and demanded ‘bulldozer action’ at the house of the accused.
