The electrician died while laying wires for a new power line in Mathura, UP. The accident occurred while working at Narsi Vihar feeder near Krishi Mandi intersection.
According to the report of the news agency, Suresh Chandra Rawat, engineer of the electricity department, said that the deceased along with other laborers was working to lay wires on the electric pole. Suddenly he fainted and hanged on the pillar.
Fellow laborers with the help of rope brought him down and rushed him to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Rawat said that it was a new power line and there was no current in it. In such a situation, there is a possibility that the laborer has died of heart attack.
The body has been sent for postmortem to find out the exact cause of death. Highway police station in -charge Anand Kumar Shahi said that the deceased has been identified as Rahul, who was a resident of Santruk village in Deeg district of Rajasthan.
The electricity department is now investigating whether there was any other technical reason. The family has been informed and appropriate compensation is also being considered.
