On Saturday, police removed loudspeakers from many mosques in Firozabad district of Uttar Pradesh. Firozabad Superintendent of Police Ravi Shankar Prasad said that this action was taken after receiving several complaints about loud noise from mosques. Following complaints, the police reduced the volume of loudspeakers at some places, while they were removed from many mosques after they were found violating the rules.

SP Prasad said, “We respect all religions, but it is mandatory to follow the rules. Loud noise in public places should not cause trouble to others. We have taken steps to maintain law and order in the area and control noise pollution.” This step has been taken.”

He said, “Today we saw loudspeakers playing loudly in many mosques. As a result, we removed loudspeakers from places where rules were being violated and reduced the volume of loudspeakers in some mosques. And institutions have been instructed to follow noise pollution rules.

He warned that strict action would be taken against any violation. On the basis of complaints and information, the mosque staff has been given the responsibility of removing the loud loudspeakers. Police said that even today (Saturday) loudspeakers are playing loudly from the mosques of the police station South area, either the loudspeakers have been removed or their volume has been reduced.
