In Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh, three youths lured a school-going minor girl and tried to rape her in a moving car. The victim somehow escaped and reached home and told the whole story to her family members, after which the family took the girl to the police station. On the basis of the girl’s complaint, the police registered a case under sections of POCSO Act, molestation and Dalit harassment and arrested two youths, while the police is searching for the third accused in this case.
Actually, the names of the accused are Rizwan and Mohammad Shad. Rizwan is a resident of Kanhai Purva, while Mohammad Shad is a resident of Mominabad locality. A 10th class student living in Rizwan’s locality was going to her school when she met Rizwan on the way and he made her sit in the car on the pretext of dropping him to school. It is alleged that Rizwan did not drop the girl to school and took her with him to Sitapur.

attempted rape in a moving car
According to the police, Rizwan along with his two other friends showed the film to the girl on a talkie and then kept watching it there. After this, while returning to Hardoi, when the accused tried to force themselves on her in the moving car, the girl started screaming inside the car. While returning to Hardoi, all three dropped the girl at some distance from her house and fled away.
Rizwan and his friend Mohammad Shad arrested
After returning home, the victim informed her family about the entire incident. The family reached the police station with the victim girl and complained about the entire matter. On the basis of the complaint, the police have registered a case against the three youth under sections of Dalit harassment, POCSO Act and molestation and arrested the accused Rizwan and his friend Mohammad Shad, while the search for the third accused is going on.

Ankit Mishra (City Hardoi) said that last night an application was received at the Kotwali police station, in which the girl accused three youths, whom she already knew, of luring her and taking her to Sitapur. Showed her a film there and misbehaved with her on the way. On this information, the local police immediately registered a case under relevant sections and arrested two people named Rizwan and Mohammad Shad and further legal action is being taken in this matter.
