While returning from the 35th Foundation Day celebrations of Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority, the fleet of State Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi met with an accident on Saturday. This accident took place in Sant Kabir Nagar in which the Bolero vehicle included in the fleet collided with a tractor. Three CRPF personnel and the driver deployed for the minister’s security were injured in the accident.
Tractor driver accused of negligence
Near Kanti Chowki of Sant Kabir Nagar district, the Bolero vehicle which was being escorted by the minister and carrying CRPF personnel collided with a tractor. It is alleged that this accident happened due to the negligence of the tractor driver in which three CRPF soldiers were injured and Bolero driver Neeraj was also injured.
Minister Nandi immediately took the injured soldiers in his car and reached Shri Krishna Mission Hospital in Basti district. First aid was given to the injured here. In the incident, two CRPF jawans got head injuries and one jawan got injured in his hand.
Minister left for Lucknow with injured soldiers
As soon as information about the incident was received, Additional SP Basti and CO reached City Hospital. After providing first aid to the injured CRPF jawans and the driver at Shri Krishna Mission Hospital in Basti, Minister Nandi left for Medanta Lucknow with the injured jawans.
At the time of the accident, when an uncontrolled tractor entered the moving fleet, the Fortuner in which Minister Nandi was traveling was overtaken by a margin of just a few seconds and the Bolero vehicle running just behind was hit.
