A private university student in Bareilly, UP committed suicide by hanging herself in her hostel room. The deceased student has been identified as 19-year-old Niharika, who was a first year Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) student. She was found dead in her room.
According to the report of the news agency, there was mourning in the university campus due to the news of suicide of Niharika, living in Narmada Hostel. Regarding this incident, SHO of the area Sanjay Singh Tomar said that the incident happened on Monday afternoon.
Police have also recovered a suicide note from the spot, in which Niharika has also explained the reasons for taking this suicidal step. However, the details of the suicide note have not been made public yet due to investigation.
Police have sent Niharika’s body for post-mortem and have informed her family about this tragic incident. SHO Tomar said, ‘We are investigating the matter, trying to find out why Niharika took such a drastic step.’ Information regarding this incident is also being taken from the university administration and girl students.
Niharika’s classmates and other hostel students said that she was a calm natured girl and always concentrated on studies. Not only his family but the entire university is shocked by this incident. Police have said that efforts will be made to reach the bottom of the case on the basis of suicide note and other investigations.
