Uri: The Surgical StrikeOn Saturday, as the film, starring Vicky Kaushal in the lead, clocked 6 years of its release, Yami celebrated it in a nostalgic post on Instagram.

Taking to her official social media handle, the actress posted a photo from the film along with a heartfelt note wherein she wrote, “Uri: The Surgical Strike celebrated more than we can think – the valor of the Indian Army, the spirit of our Nation and the power of cinema.” She added, “It was an honor for me to be a part of a gem like this which continues to be celebrated. Pallavi Sharma was a dream come true role for me and to be able to portray another fine female character was truly a blessing. Beyond grateful for all your love and to the entire team that help create this marvel”, and concluded it with a heart emoji and the hashtag – ‘6 years of uri the surgical strike’.
About Uri
The film featured Yami Gautam as an undercover intelligence officer Jasmine Almeida, who posed as nurse Pallavi Sharma to help the Major’s mother. With Vicky Kaushal as Major Vihaan Singh Shergill, Uri: The Surgical Strike featured an ensemble cast including Paresh Rawal, Kirti Kulhari, Mohit Raina, among others. The film was a fictional account of the retaliation to the 2016 Uri attack, the film marked the directorial debut of Aditya Dhar.
About Yami Gautam
The actress was last seen in Article 370, followed by which, she announced the birth of her first child in June 2024. As for her upcoming projects, she has the Pratik Gandhi starrer Dhoom Dhaam in the pipeline.
