In Durg district of Chhattisgarh, two brothers under the influence of alcohol put their blood relations to shame. Here a minor dispute took such a horrific form that both of them killed their own disabled father and seriously injured their mother. This heart-wrenching incident happened in Parewadih village of Utai police station area. The police have arrested both the real brothers and sent them to jail.
Patan SDOP in-charge Harish Patil said that 30-year-old laborer Shashi Thakur and his 25-year-old brother Dashrath Thakur had fought with each other over money for liquor. Shashi had given Rs 100 to Dashrath to bring liquor, but when Dashrath did not bring liquor, a fight started between the two. The matter escalated so much that both of them started fighting.
When mother Unclehin Bai intervened to stop the fight between the two brothers, Shashi angrily attacked her with a stick and pushed her to the ground. When Bhagwan Singh Thakur, the father of the two brothers, tried to stop the fight, both the sons together attacked him. Both the brothers first threw their father on the ground and then the elder son Shashi started applying pressure by placing his knee on his neck, while the younger son Dashrath climbed on his chest. This cruelty continued for so long that father Bhagwan Singh Thakur died on the spot.
As soon as information about the incident was received, Utai police reached the spot. A case of murder has been registered against both brothers, Shashi and Dashrath, under section 103 BNS. Police have arrested both the brothers and sent them to Durg Central Jail.
